Bringing the clay-target world to life with real insight from the shooters, coaches, clubs, and brands leading Sporting Clays, FITASC, Trap, and Skeet — and we’re just as deep in the hunting world. From waterfowl to big-game adventures, gear talk, and the traditions that keep hunters going season after season, we cover it all. If you love the culture, the grind, and the feeling of breaking targets or being out in the woods or flooded timber, this is your front-row seat to the people, stories, and ideas pushing both shooting sports and hunting forward.
We're excited to bring Shotgun Sports USA back. Our goal is simple: tell the stories that matter, talk about what people care about, bring you the facts and connect with the people who make the sport great. Whether it's competition, hunting, industry news, or untold stories, we're here to bring you conversations worth listening to.

What every sporting clay shooter wants to hear! The Dead Pair project is a family oriented, informative and entertaining podcast aimed at providing valuable “real-world” information for both recreational and competitive clay shooters. Our content will benefit all skill levels, featuring discussions from some of the sport’s best shooters and coaches, as well as product and service specialists. Sporting clays, Trap, Skeet, FITASC, COMPAC, Ball Trap, Clay target, Clay sports, NSCA, NSSA, CPSA, ATA, SCTP.
We have all been to a charity shoot. For some, it was their introduction to sporting clays. Charity shoots are raise money for a cause or purpose of supporting an individual, a business, or organization. But what if that organization gave everything back and helped to secure the future of shooting sports in America? That's exactly what this 400 person shoot does every year! The Dead Pair Podcast was present at the MidwayUSA Foundation shoot at Rice Creek Hunting in Little Falls Minnesota. This shoot raised an over $200,000.00 for youth shooting grants and endowments! Tracy Wright co-hosts this episode as we hear from people behind the scenes and the difference that 1 shoot like this can make, and why YOU need to attend!

Welcome to California Clays, your home for all things competitive shotgun sports.
As an amateur competitor and passionate student of the game, Henning Mathew dives into the world of clay shooting through interviews with some of the best to ever point a shotgun.
He interviews World, National, and State Champions, their coaches, and key figures across the industry.
They explore the techniques, stories, and insights that fuel the sports we all love, from Sporting Clays to FITASC, Helice, Trap, Skeet, and the International disciplines.
If you enjoy learning and celebrating the world of competitive shooting, make sure to Subscribe for new videos and conversations from California and beyond.
Today I’m joined by Jonny Carter, the host of TGS Outdoors, one of the most recognizable shotgun and shooting lifestyle channels on YouTube.
Jonny is a former gunsmith who somehow turned his love of shotguns, shooting culture and storytelling into a career that has taken him all over the world. Through TGS, he has documented everything from beautiful guns and incredible shooting grounds to the people, traditions, and characters that make the shotgun world so unique.
In this conversation, I wanted to learn more about Jonny’s background, how he went from gunsmith to YouTuber and what he has learned after spending time with some of the best shooters, coaches, gunmakers, and industry people in the game.
This was a fun one, and I think you’re really going to enjoy it.

Our days are busy. Professional, family and personal obligations fill our schedules. You’re invited to take A Break in the Action of your day and escape to a place filled with sights of highly figured walnut and rich, vibrant case-color hardening. Intoxicating scents of wood smoke from a perfectly laid fire and spent shotshells fill the air. The only deals we broker are for new-to-us shotguns and our only appointments are for chilly mornings and impatient bird dogs. Here, our currency is memories and we consider ourselves wealthy.
The goal here is simple, to provide a place to escape, a place to learn, a place to reminisce, and a place to relax – be it through our podcast or social sites. Our focus will reliably be on vintage and modern shotguns, best-in-quality gear, accessories, and experiences that complement the sporting lifestyle.
Our days are busy… take A Break in the Action.
For more than a century, the 12 gauge has been the default answer in the shotgun world. It was the gauge that did everything—quail, pheasants, waterfowl, rabbits, and just about anything else a hunter might pursue.
But today, sub-gauges are more popular than ever. Twenty gauges, twenty-eights, and even .410s have developed devoted followings, leaving some hunters to wonder: has the 12 gauge become more gun than most of us actually need?
Joining me to explore that question is Gregg Elliott of Dogs and Doubles. Gregg is a dedicated grouse and woodcock hunter, student of vintage shotguns, and unapologetic advocate for the 12 gauge.
Along the way, our conversation drifts well beyond gauge selection. We discuss why lightweight 12 gauges may be among the most underrated upland guns ever built, how modern ammunition has changed the conversation, the economics of vintage shotgun collecting, whether marketing has influenced the popularity of sub-gauges, and why some classic British and American 12 gauges represent tremendous value in today's market.
We also dive into gun fit, barrel dimensions, stock design, and one of the strangest—and most interesting—Greener shotguns I've ever seen.
Whether you're a dedicated sub-gauge enthusiast or firmly in the 12-gauge camp, this is an enjoyable conversation about shotguns, bird hunting, and the enduring appeal of a gauge many hunters may have overlooked too quickly.

Listen in as Zach Nannini & Richard Marshall Jr. talk trapshooting with the legends, the games top shots and more!
Tony Fortino joins Trap Talk for Episode 179, and this one is packed with trapshooting history, laughs, technical talk, and a whole lot of hard-earned wisdom from one of the true working-man champions in the sport.
Zach Nannini and Richard Marshall Jr. sit down with Tony to talk about his journey from a young shooter in Illinois to becoming an 8-time All-American, 9-time Illinois State Team member, current Illinois State Team Captain, and one of the youngest shooters ever to win two Grand American championships in the same year. In 2013, Tony won both the Clay Target Championship and the Doubles Championship at just 17 years old.
The guys cover Tony’s early start with the Chip & Crack team, the people who helped shape his game, the lessons he learned from George and Jackie Snellenberger, and what it takes to keep competing at a high level while working third shift and living the real-world grind.
They also get into the mental side of championship shooting, including how Tony handled the pressure of the Clay Target shoot-off, why the Doubles Championship felt different, and how confidence can change everything when the targets are on the line.
Of course, this episode also gets technical. Tony breaks down his approach to singles, handicap, and doubles, including gun setup, point of impact, hold points, eye issues, doubles timing, footwork, and why sometimes the best advice is still simple: point the targets out.
This is a great episode for young shooters, working shooters, serious competitors, and anyone who loves hearing from a champion who has been there, won big, stepped away, and is now coming back strong.
Enjoy this episode and please like, share, comment, and subscribe to support the channel.
